Sept 17, 2003 - Living in Silence Con't
Hi All,
Well, this will be short and sweet...we are truly amazing as human beings and always learning new things about ourselves...and it is certainly true that when one door closes it is simply to make room for another, and usually better door to open...(the previous door was probabaly right for a certain period of my life, but I was unable to release that particular phase and move on to the next...and as usually, I need very powerful prodding to make this moves)...I am quite pleased with things the last few days...although the silence is still sometimes difficult for me, it is nothing as frightening as I expected...and certainly not oppressive...I find myself singing alot to myself, but bascially, I am living withing the silence and beginning to find new things...of course, it means my thoughts are not distracted in any way and someetimes fine my mind running away with me, and perhspas one of the things I still need to learn is not to distract myself from the thoughts with artificual, outside means, but to deal with them from within .At any rate, this is a whole new experience for me and I am quite beginning to enjoy it.
I finish the Reiki course for the 2 girls today and they have both had profound expereinces following their attunements...I am quite pleased for them and hope they continue to work seriously with Reiki.
Yesterday I went to a moving and lunch with Nicole (one of the firls) and the nice youn Australian guy Nathan ...we saw Frida which I really loved and then had a good lunch at Om...
In the evening we all sat together after dinner in the communal area and sat until 11, together with Ashish as well and had some really intresting converstaions about drugs, drinking, and sex...some interesting insights and some GREAT laughs...much fun...the girls are leaving tomorrow but I know new people will fill the place...Next week I am planning to take a course at Beit Chabad on Kabbalah and Letters and your name so that should be interesting...
Today we are going up to celebrate to the Pizza place in Dharamkot and home through bhagsu so maybe will visit Akhilesh again...Darya, don't worry...I will look for Mahdu and give her your regards!
Well, that's all for today...not really in the writing mood,.....the weather is still "end of mnsoon " dreary...lots of sun in morning but slight rain in afternoon and lots of low lying heavy cloudiness all late afternoon and evening...but I am out and walking everyday and things are basically pleasant....it seems like the time goes by to quickly however...
