October 4, 2003 Palm Reading

Dear All,

Well, finally feeling like things are back on track and flowing again and it’s funny…people notice!…again telling me how I am glowing, sending out energies, etc….Today I walked 20 minutes uphill just to pay someone and came back. Wish I could live like this always. Just walking everyday (or as often as I felt the need). Had my palm read!..This time by a Tibetan doctor! Interesting as follows: (and gain similar to most of the other palmist who have read for me, both back in Israel and here…the Hindu one, the ayurveda one, the Hindu priest and now this Tibetan guy…so perhaps here is something to it all:

Money: easy come easy go- not much interest in it but will always have enough ….you will earn it from one of the following which are your three professions, listed from most important and down: healing-teaching-writing(!)…This writing thing is interesting as I have been writing all my life and several times have felt like writing a book (cookbook, breastfeeding book, tips for young parents book and lately, India book…he is the first to say tht this is a good way for me to earn money!)…

I will find a life (and love) partner soon-do not have to look for him…he will come naturally

Much “sex power” still even at your age (the expression is his, not mine!)

Long and happy life with one health obstacle which you can control by healing others and perhaps saving an animals life (?)

Much traveling

You are very romantic

Good hands for healing

Good mind-very smart but also very warm and good heart and desire to help others (this is also something which came up by the way in the analysis of my name using Kabbalah)

Not strong interest in religion but very highly connected with God

That’s the end of the reading and I found it very interesting….and it seemed to come from a pure place….didn’t even want money…he just does this to help people…he saw that I do Reiki (I did not tell him this) and asked if I could possibly do some reiki for him so I told him I would come back in a couple of days. Nice guy with interesting story about an Israeli girlfriend and they thought to get married so her mother came to meet him and liked him very much but told him he would have to convert…long story short….they are not getting married and his girlfriend keeps telling him he can convert and then still be a buddhist and no one would know but he is a clever fellow and is not willing to base a life on lies…

Have some new clothes I bought which I like and now am at Nick’s having ice coffee and cake (of course)….The weather has turned almost like Hamsin like you get in the middle of winter in Israel.…you should see what my hair looks like! I’m sure I’ve put on some weight…most of the clothes in this town are simply too small for me…don’t fit over my stomach and butt. Still strange for me after being so thin all my life that everything ready made was TOO BIG for me. I’m still shocked each time something doesn’t fit. But I am happy and relaxed again so all is well.
The new guy living up in “my” room, named Abdellah-is really sweet and we are both by “chance” reading the same book-Camino-funny. We talked a little last night (by the way, I received 3 phone calls from home on 3 consecutive nights, always at 9:30, and the people here are really starting to laugh about this….they asked me how many children still left that have to call you?!?)….He was born in France, lived in LA, his parents are from Algeria and his father is Jewish (and has family in Ashdod) and mother is Muslim!….and he has just come here for 3 years to study Buddhism!. But he just arrived and is now just getting used to the place and vacationing.

I don’t remember when in my life (well, I guess when we went camping many years ago), that I spent so much of my day out of doors. I even eat outdoors. From about 9 AM to 8 PM I am “out and about” and just loving it.
Today I wanted to make my pack as lite as possible as my shoulders and neck have begun to complain a little, and tried to think what to remove…so thought camera…after all, what could there possibly be new to see on the way up and back from Bhagsu….good think I took it, as today there was a snake charmer!…always surprises along the way!.

OK…I know I promised a dream sequence, but it will also have to wait and I have a couple of other letters to reply to….

So more another day….my love to all…

Easy fast to those who are fasting and Gmar Chatima Tova.
